The American Club Foundation works on an innovative “Grants+” model that does much more than just charitable donations. We work with beneficiary organizations to identify areas of need, design appropriate grant proposals and set expectations for success. We also give feedback at every stage of the process. It’s the best way we’ve found to create a deep connection between donors and beneficiaries and to have a direct, measurable and lasting impact.

Chinese New Year 2024: Giving Back To Families And Children in Need
Chinese New Year is a festive time when families in Hong Kong gather to share meals and gifts to celebrate the incoming New Year. The American Club Foundation partnered with Changing Young Lives Foundation (CYLF) to distribute food bags to low-income families living in Sham Shui Po. Thanks to the generosity of the American Club community, the ACF donated, packed and delivered 100 CNY bags bringing warmth to those living on extremely tight budgets and enabling them to enjoy the Year of the Dragon.
FUNDRAISING.
The ACF holds several fundraising events throughout the year to fund our Grants+ program. Our grants support local charities aiding underprivileged youth, disadvantaged communities and environmental sustainability. Major events include:

THE SEASON OF GIVING THANKS
As part of our Season of Giving Thanks, in November & December 2023, we collaborated with Feeding Hong Kong. They rescue surplus food headed for landfills & redistribute it to communities who are unable to afford three daily meals.
We raised HK$20,000 which allowed Feeding Hong Kong to purchase 2,000 nutritious meals wholesale and used their network to distribute them to the working poor, mothers, elderly & children living in poverty in the city.
ANNUAL DINNER
We held our 2nd Annual Gala, “Helping Hong Kong Bloom,” on April 12th. Over 200 guests gathered together to celebrate the work of the ACF and learned about our three 2024/25 Grants+ charity partners, Changing Young Lives Foundation, Splash Foundation and A Plastic Ocean Foundation.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our Lead Sponsors whose support exceeded more than HK$100K. Special thanks to Fitch Group, Intriq Journey, The American Club, Hyatt and L’Oreal. Plus, we'd like to thank our gifts-in-kind sponsors who generously donated auction items, prizes, gifts and more. Additionally, we'd like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the Gala Committee who dedicated their time and efforts in making the event a success.
We are delighted to announce that we raised a net total of HK$1.4 million, which will allow us to create a significant impact through our Grants+ program and to positively affect the lives of many underprivileged communities and improve Hong Kong's marine ecosystem.
